This collection of research papers in tourism developed from a conference in March 2011 on Narrative and the Built Heritage. The conference provided a meeting of academics and professionals from heritage management. The aim of this collection is to offer a set of methods and new approaches for investigating the monuments, towns and buildings which attract us so that we might share them more sustainably and understand their effects upon the contemporary visitor. Charlie Mansfield:has written on French literature since the 1980s. This book comes from research during his M.Litt in French travel writing. Mansfield is part of a major research team in Middle French at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a visiting researcher with the CNRS at the University of Paris:Pantheon-Sorbonne.
