Presents a conceptual framework to help students recognize and meet international operations management challenges. This work is sutiable for use as a primary text in global operations management or as a supplement to a broader operations management course. It features: learning within and across organizations, co-ordinating international infrastructure and response to exchange rate fluctuations; a selection of Harvard Business School and other cases; and readings by scholars such as Porter, Deming, Hamel and Hofstede which aim to help students relate the cases to broader operations issues.
