He served as the former Assistant Director for Export Development at the Minnesota Trade Office where he received the Governor’s Award for his outstanding efforts. He was honored with the U.S. Presidential ‘E’ Award for his company’s outstanding contribution to the nation’s export expansion program by the U.S. Department of Commerce. He was also awarded a Bush Mid-Career Fellowship to study public policy at Yale University. Winget received his B.S. in commerce and law from the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign.
