This is the 6th edition of this publication which contains a combination of statistical data and descriptive information on the organisation and functioning of education systems in 30 European countries. This edition also incorporates new features, including a subject-based structure, the use of new information sources and increased time series. The book sets out 153 indicators arranged into six chapters under headings of: context; organisation, including structures, objectives and decision-making aspects; participation; resources, including investment and equipment, teachers and management staff; educational processes, including teaching time and pupil assessment; graduates and qualification levels.
